Slubs, small shifts in the zari line and tiny irregularities in the weave are how you tell a handloom from a powerloom. They are not faults.

Why this drop took four months
A six-yard Paithani takes a weaver in Yeola anywhere from three weeks to four months on the pit loom, depending on how dense the pallu is. A Kanjivaram from Kanchipuram runs three to six weeks with the korvai border joined by hand.
We wait for the loom rather than the calendar, which is why a drop like this lands a few times a year instead of every week.
